We do not have a CollarTag size designed for 1/2″ wide leather, the 5/8″ wide size will be usable, but the tag will have a slot in it 1/8″ wider than the collar. If you measure the collar width, and then select the radio button below that reflects that measurement, you will get a CollarTag that fits your pet’s collar every time. No other factor affects CollarTag size selection. The size CollarTag you need is based on the width of the collar your pet wears. I have also been told by some of our horse-loving customers that these make great halter tags for horse identification. These will also work on Rolled Leather Collars and Aspen Comfort Collars 3/4 or 1 inch wide, but you will not be able to use the two holes furthest in from the end (the tag needs to use this space and will cover those two holes).
